A man who was arrested last year when he was accused of trying to sexually assault a girl in Milford has been arrested again on additional similar charges.
Chad Withington, 39, of Milford, has been in police custody since November, when police received a report on a prior attempted sexual assault of a juvenile.
The department’s Special Investigations Unit investigated the initial report and identified Withington as a suspect. Police said he tried to sexually assault the girl between 2014 and 2015.
The Special Investigations Unit has continued to investigate Withington’s interactions with girls between December 2014 and September 2015 and obtained arrest warrants on Dec. 15.
Withington has been charged with two counts of disorderly conduct, first-degree sexual assault and fourth-degree criminal attempt to commit sexual assault.
He appeared at Milford Superior Court on Wednesday.
