Cape Cod Beaches Close to Swimming After 3 Shark Sightings

At least three Cape Cod beaches were temporarily closed to swimming Monday after shark sightings.

Swimmers were ordered out of the water at Newcomb Hollow Beach in Wellfleet Monday morning after a shark was spotted, according to the Sharktivity app.

A great white shark was spotted off Nauset Public Beach in Orleans at 12:45 p.m., forcing the beach to close to swimming until at least 2 p.m.

A third shark was spotted shortly after 3 p.m., a little further south of the first two sightings.
