Shark Sighting Forces Cape Cod Beach to Close to Swimming

    Great White Sharks Can Jump Out of the Water!

    South African Shark Expert Chris Fallows joins us this week to talk about his work studying an area where sharks are always jumping out of the water. (Collaboration with the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy) (Published Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019)

    Swimmers were ordered out of the water Thursday after a confirmed shark sighting at a Cape Cod beach. 

    Nauset Light Beach in Eastham was closed to swimming until further notice by Cape Cod National Seashore officials after the sighting, according to the Sharktivity app.  

    Sharks have been sighted off Cape Cod over 200 times this year, according to the app.
