Showers, Increased Humidity to Begin Sunday

Astronomically high tides and rising sea levels will continue to cause issues over the next couple of days. The United States Coast Guard has had to respond to numerous calls regarding floating kayaks without occupants. Be sure to pull your boats away from the water and make sure they’re labelled with your contact information in cast they float away. This round of high tides is happening overnight, so be vigilant.

Humidity increases over the next couple of days. Showers will be around to start our Sunday morning. Thankfully we won’t see much instability during the afternoon so that should limit the coverage of additional thunderstorms later in the day.

Monday will be hot and humid. High temperatures will reach the upper 80s and low 90s. Tuesday will also be very hot and humid, but with a cold front moving in from the west, showers and thunderstorms will be possible. Some storms are expected to be strong to severe.

Wednesday will be less humid with any early morning showers clearing out. Thursday and Friday will be perfect beach days with a good amount of sunshine, warm air and less humidity.

Unfortunately, our weather looks to turn active once again by next weekend. Showers and thunderstorms are possible starting next Saturday and that threat may continue through that following Tuesday, stay tuned!
