Vermont State Police say a skier is safe after he left a trail at the Killington ski resort and became lost.

Police say 27-year-old Benjamin Levine of Pittsburgh called 911 at about 12:20 p.m. Sunday to say he had unintentionally skied off a trail and become lost.

The Killington Ski Patrol helped guide Levine through the back country to Brewers Corners in Mendon where he was met by state troopers.

Levine was not injured.
