Slushy Roads Early Morning, Weekend Showers to Look Forward to

If you don’t feel like shoveling, Mother Nature will take care of most of the work for you!

Any precipitation will continue to taper off throughout the morning. We aren’t worried about any black ice with this kind of set up in most areas. Temperatures have been gradually increasing since Tuesday night.

Expect some sunshine to return later Wednesday. As the sunshine returns, it’s likely that temperatures will spike into the mid-to-upper 40s. We can expect rapid snowmelt through the afternoon and into the evening.

Thursday is dry and sunny. Temperatures won’t be quite as warm as they were Wednesday, but they’ll climb above freezing once again. Expect high temperatures to climb into the mid-and-upper 30s during the day.

Friday will be quite mild, but it will be unsettled. Temperatures will soar into the 40s and 50s across the region. Over the weekend it looks like we’ll see some heavy rain Friday into Saturday, but it appears it will be showers instead.

If you have any snow on the ground going into Friday, the majority of it will be gone by Friday night.

Colder air does return for the weekend. It doesn’t look like the deep freeze we saw during January, but seasonably cold weather will return. Our pattern will remain fairly active and that comes with a couple of snow chances. Stay tuned!
