Snowmobile Club Fundraiser Canceled Over Poor Snow Conditions

The Swift Diamond Riders Snowmobile Club and event organizer South End Media made the announcement Monday

Poor snow conditions has led officials to cancel a fundraiser in New Hampshire for a snowmobile club that draws thousands of people to test ride snow machines.

The Caledonian Record reports the Swift Diamond Riders Snowmobile Club and event organizer South End Media made the announcement Monday. The event, held at Coleman State Park, was scheduled for March 4-5.

South End Media representative Kurt Muhfelder says the trails need at least 2 feet of snow for safe riding. But it's only covered by 4 to 5 inches. He says part of the event also takes place on a pond that doesn't have the required 3 feet of ice.

Tim Anderson, club president, says it was the first time since SnoDeo started in 1993 that it has been canceled.
