New Hampshire State Police arrested a motorist after a brief pursuit early Sunday morning.

According to police, a motorist was driving down Washington Street in Dover around 3 a.m. when a trooper attempted to stop her for a traffic violation. The driver refused to stop and a short pursuit began. Ultimately, the motorist stopped in a driveway on Prospect Street where she was taken into custody without incident.

The motorist was later identified as Christina Race, 31, of Portsmouth. She was charged with disobeying a police officer and was released on $2,500 bail. Race will be arraigned on Jan. 13 in 7th Circuit Court- District Division, Dover.
