State Police Investigating Fatal Crash in Braintree

Massachusetts State Police are investigating a 2-car crash in Braintree early Tuesday morning that claimed the life of a Taunton woman.

Police say that a 2003 Buick Rendezvous was going southbound on Interstate 93 southbound near exit 5 when, for some reason, the driver lost control. The car crashed into a guard rail before ending up in the right travel lane.

The driver of that car exited her vehicle and was standing behind it when another car traveling southbound hit the Buick and pushed it into the driver.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to Boston Medical Center with serious injuries.

[NATL] Clerk Pulls Out Machete on Would-Be Robber

A would-be robber armed with a knife had a surprise in store when an Alabama store clerk pulled out a machete in defense. The two's brief knife fight was caught on camera before the clerk runs out to damage the robber's car.

According to police, suspect Seth Holcomb walked up to the counter to make a purchase. He leaves the store and then comes back in as if to make a second purchase. Then, he pulled out a knife at the counter. What he didn't expect was that the clerk would pull out a machete of his own.
