Protective Order Issued in Bill Cosby Deposition

Attorney Gloria Allred made a statement Saturday about the status of the deposition of comedian Bill Cosby.

The announcement was in connection with the case of Judy Huth vs. William H. Cosby. Huth alleges that Cosby molested her at the Playboy Mansion around 1974 when she was 15.

Allred said that Cosby appeared for his deposition on Oct. 9, which took place in Boston from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

"We will be filing motions with the court in connection with the deposition and we anticipate that our motions will be heard on the same date that the court has set- Dec. 22, 2015- for a hearing on the protective order on the depositions of Mr. Cosby and Ms. Huth," Allred explained. "We will also be seeking to take a further deposition of Mr. Cosby at a later date."

According to Allred, because the court entered a protective order on the depositions, she was not able to elaborate on Friday's deposition. In addition, she is not able to elaborate on Huth's deposition, which is scheduled for Oct. 15.

Dozens of women have come forward accusing Cosby of sexual assault. The alleged crimes span decades, beginning in the 1960s.

An NBC 'Dateline' special aired Friday, timed to coincide with Cosby's deposition in the Huth case.
