This storm has exceeded our expectations on wind. Fierce wind bursts have surged through Eastern Massachusetts around noon and again near 6 p.m. Huge swathes of trees and power lines have come down in some communities. Snow was a letdown as most of us end as rain in the next few hours. The tidal saga still has two more acts to play: tonight at midnight and again tomorrow at noon. Flooding is expected to be a bit worse than we saw at noontime today.
