It's another chilly start, but thankfully not quite as cold as yesterday morning's commute. A dome of high pressure still has its grips over New England, allowing for another sun-filled day, before clouds start filling in from the west by Tuesday evening's commute ahead of the next system.

This system slides in late Tuesday night into early Wednesday, with a wintry mix for the Berkshires, southern Vermont, northwest Connecticut, and central Massachusetts with snow showers for northern Vermont, as well as northern New Hampshire.

This could make for some slick spots for the Wednesday morning commute, so be sure to leave extra time. We see a wind shift as the system falls apart by Wednesday evening, so that Wednesday evening’s commute is drier for most and slightly warmer, with highs in the mid to upper 40s.

Thursday features some scattered rain showers and a warm-up with highs stretching into the 50s. A slow moving cold front will drag over New England from the Great Lakes Thursday night through Saturday morning, bringing a few round of showers, but right now it looks like drier air will return for clearing Saturday evening and a dry, yet breezy Easter Sunday – as of now – our exclusive in-house guidance shows only a 20 percent chance of an Easter shower.

The chance of showers rise again next week, just in time to ring in the first full week of April. High temperatures hover near 50 in our exclusive Early Warning Weather 10-day forecast.
