Suffolk in the City: Downtown Boston Colleges Giving Back This Holiday Season

Thanksgiving has passed, and that means it's full speed ahead to the holiday presents and lights.

However, for some college students in downtown Boston, it's also the season for giving back to the community.

Suffolk University's Student Government Association is teaming up with university police for a "Toys for Tots" drive.

Emerson students are also giving back with the "Caitie's Closet" drive that kicked off just days ago.

The "Toys for Tots" drive ends on Dec. 10, and has several donation drop-off locations: Ridgeway, Somerset, Sargent and 73 Tremont. Money donations are also accepted at the SGA Office in Sawyer. Remember, please drop off new toys only.

As for the "Caitie's Closet" drive, which also ends on Dec. 10, there are drop-off locations at Piano Row, the dining hall, library and fitness center. Organizers are asking for gently used clothing.
