Humidity builds during the today. Skies will be sunny, temperatures will reach the mid 80's and the heat index may approach 90 degrees during the afternoon.
Monday through Wednesday will be hot and humid. Temperatures will reach the 90's and dew points will be in the 70's – that combination will send the heat index above 100 degrees. We are expecting a heat wave for many towns in New England.
Thursday, a cold front will move through. A shower or thunderstorms is possible. Temperatures and humidity will drop Friday and Saturday. High temperatures will stay in the mid 70's. The early autumn feel will only last a couple of days. Temperatures will return to the low 80's for the second half of the holiday weekend.
