Sunshine Returns Before Storm System Moves Up Eastern Seaboard

After such a soggy and windy pattern, we gratefully welcome the sunshine back for our Friday with high temperatures into the 60s. The sunshine sticks around for the first half of the weekend before we track the next round of rain for Sunday afternoon.

Saturday will be the pick of the weekend in terms of picture perfect weather with high temperatures into the mid to upper 60s under mostly sunny skies.

Sunday brings the next round of rain and wind by the late afternoon as we track a system that slides up the eastern seaboard, so expect tropical-like downpours again, similar to the rain that we experienced over the last few days.

We could add an additional 1-3" of rainfall Sunday into Monday, which could create a flood threat for both days. Plus, wind gusts could top at 50-60 miles per hour, with downed trees and scattered power outages expected. With gusts that strong, make sure your Halloween decorations are secured properly before Sunday or bring them indoors.

Speaking of Halloween, Tuesday the rain will be out of here, but the wind sticks around, and slightly cooler air settles in. Highs on Tuesday reach into the 50s with temperatures slipping into the upper 40s by the time trick-or-treating kicks off. Another round of rain will be likely early Thursday, otherwise the rest of the 10-day looks relatively dry.
