Suspect Arrested in Dorchester Stabbing

Boston Police have arrested a man in connection with an overnight stabbing in Dorchester. 

The stabbing occured in the parking lot of the Alltown Gas Station on Southampton Street shortly after 12:30a.m. on Saturday. 

Police say the suspect, Carree Burns, 43, of Haverhill, Mass., was trying to drive away from the scene when officers stopped him.  

Police reportedly found a knife lying on the front seat of Burns' car and blood on the passenger side door. 

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for a stab wound. The victim is expected to survive. 

Burns faces an assault charge and is due in court on Monday.
