A man charged with fatally stabbing a 77-year-old man last month in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood faced a judge Tuesday.

Dorchester resident Ramon Rodriguez-Delgado, 41, was arrested Monday with the July 26 murder of Marcelino Perez. The victim was found in his Shandon Road apartment with multiple stab wounds.

Rodriguez was ordered to be held without bail during his arraignment at West Roxbury District Court.

A surveillance image of a person of interest in the fatal stabbing was released by authorities last month; however, Rodriguez-Delgado is not the person depicted in the photo, according to Boston police.
