A New Hampshire man suspected of killing his estranged wife and her new boyfriend in Wolfeboro has fatally shot himself, according to authorities.

Kevin Moran, 41, died by suicide in a car outside of his Ossipee home on Wednesday after he messaged his family members, the state Attorney General's Office announced Friday.

Police said they are confident he was the gunman behind the fatal shooting of 36-year-old Kathleen Moran and 36-year-old Kris Dube.

Authorities responded to a home in Wolfeboro the evening of Oct. 21, where the victims were found after being shot. Dube died at the scene and Moran was taken to a local hospital, where she died on Oct. 26.

An investigation into the homicide revealed that Kevin Moran was unhappy with his estranged wife's new relationship, according to Attorney General Gordon MacDonald. The suspect threatened the couple before he allegedly shot them.

The day following the double murder, Kevin Moran checked himself into a hospital, where he stayed until Tuesday.

MacDonald said in a statement that physical evidence, phone records and interviews supported the suspicions that Kevin Moran killed the couple.
