Police Search for Men Caught Breaking Into Home During Day in Walpole

Police continue to search for two men wanted in connection with a daylight break-in in Walpole, Massachusetts on Sunday.

Authorities say a home surveillance camera in the area of Centre Lane and Stone Street captured a man in a black hoodie and black pants on a porch prior to breaking into a home. Police said he was with another man.

The homeowner, who wants to remain anonymous, said nothing was stolen and the property damage was minimal. He is understandably a bit rattled.

"They ran behind my house but I did not see them," he said. "I am on edge."

After the men fled the scene on foot, Massachusetts State Police responded with an airwing and a K9 crew but were unable to locate the suspects.

Neighbor Kathryn Millers said she heard the commotion and was surprised it happened during the day.

"It’s a little brazen to do it in broad daylight," she said.

Neighbor Judy Shilowski added that a break-in like Sunday's is rare in the Walpole neighborhood.

"We more or less look out for each other," Shilowski said.

Police are hoping someone recognizes the image of one of the suspects that was released. Anyone with information is asked to contact Walpole Police.
