Malden, Massachusetts, police along with the Massachusetts Bomb Squad, were on scene for a report of a suspicious bag on Friday morning.
The backpack was found at Main and Exchange Street in Malden.
A robot was checking out the bag behind a light pole.
Several buildings that were near the bag were evacuated including an early learning center.
Office workers from some of the buildings were waiting on the sidewalk outside.
The scene was cleared and the area was deemed safe.
