Swastika, KKK Letters Spray Painted at Cranston Stadium

Police say hate crime charges may be ahead for the person responsible

Police say hate crime charges may be ahead for the person who is responsible for vandalism outside of Cranston Stadium.

Offensive graffiti, including swastikas and the letters "KKK," were drawn in spray paint on pavement near the basketball and tennis courts of the Rhode Island establishment.

The phrases, "I hate Arabs" and "I hate Jews," as well as slurs and foul language, were also spray painted nearby, according to necn affiliate WJAR

City officials have painted over the offensive symbols and words.

The stadium vandalism comes just days after a swastika was spray painted outside of a Pawtucket synagogue.

No arrests have been made in either case.
