Target Announces First Small-Format Store on Cape Cod

Target continues to expand in Massachusetts with the announcement of its first small-format store on Cape Cod.

Officials said Tuesday the 80,000 square foot store in Hyannis will be the new anchor tenant of the Cape Cod Mall.

The location will be the state's eighth small-format store, joining the Medford, Burlington, and Cambridge Porter Square locations opening later this year.

Products shoppers will find include:

  • Kids products, including basics, apparel and toys
  • Home décor with a variety of seasonal items
  • Beach and vacation essentials
  • Services such as a Starbucks and an Order Pickup counter

"With a range of products across kids, home, beach and seasonal items, and everyday essentials, this store’s assortment and overall experience are designed especially for Cape Cod residents and seasonal visitors," said Mark Schindele, senior vice president, Properties, Target.

The Hyannis store is scheduled to open in 2019. Officials plan to hire up to 100 team members.
