A Maine teenager charged with fatally stabbing a 49-year-old man is due for his first court appearance.
Maine state police on Wednesday charged the 16-year-old boy with murder in the death of Steven Hodgon of Troy last month.
Police say the teen will make his first appearance at 1 p.m. on Friday in Belfast District Court. The teen was arrested in Lewiston and transported to Waldo County Jail.
Detectives began investigating the death when Hodgon was found unresponsive in his home on March 8. The state medical examiner's office says he died from a stab wound to the chest.
