Teen Dies After Car Crashes Into Icy Brook

Police said the 16-year-old driver lost control of his car and veered off the road

Firefighters say a 16-year-old boy has died after his car crashed and overturned in an icy brook in Londonderry, New Hampshire.

Firefighters pulled the teen out of the water on Monday afternoon. He had suffered life-threatening injuries and died that night.

Police said he lost control of the sedan and veered off Hall Road where it crosses Little Cohas Brook. The sedan was upside down in the brook, submerged more than 6 feet of cold water with only the wheels showing.

Dive teams did not find anyone else in the car.
