A local teen who lost his life is being honored at a national event, the New Years' Day Rose Bowl Parade.

Troy Pappas of Eliot, Maine, died two years ago, but now he's being recognized for being an organ donor.

The New England Organ Bank is placing Troy's portrait, made entirely of flowers - on a float at the upcoming parade.

His face will be alongside dozens of other donors.

His family will be on hand in Southern California to watch.

Pappas would have been 21 this month.
