Teen Seriously Injured After Being Struck by SUV

A 14-year-old boy was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after he was struck by a motorist while crossing the street in Hudson, New Hampshire.

Police say emergency crews were dispatched to the crash site on Highland Street just after 3 p.m. Sunday.

The teen, who has not yet been identified, was crossing the street when a sport utility vehicle driven by a 49-year-old New Hampshire man collided with him. The motorist and his two passengers were not injured.

The boy was taken by ambulance to the parking lot of H.O. Smith Elementary School, where he was later airlifted to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

Police say the crash remains under investigation, but alcohol does not appear to be a factor. No charges or citations have been filed in the case.
