A 19-year-old man was shot by a police officer just after 1:30 Sunday morning in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, according to police.
Mitchell Savard was shot by an officer behind an apartment building on Read Street after being chased by foot.
The teen was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and is in the custody of the Woonsocket Police with pending charges.
The incident is under investigation.
