Teen Suspect Arrested on Assault Charge

A teen suspect is in police custody after he brandished a knife at Boston's South Station.

A teen suspect is in police custody after he brandished a knife at Boston's South Station, MBTA Transit Police said.

On Jan. 30 around 7 p.m., police noticed a suspect, later identified as 18-year-old Eddie Divas of Dorchester, brandish a knife to a 42-year-old male victim from Maine.

According to police, Divas fled when he saw an officer approaching him. The suspect ran towards the commuter rail area where he was ultimately placed into custody. He is charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon and will be arraigned Monday.
