A New Hampshire teenager is facing a number of charges after police say he led state troopers on a chase, crashed his vehicle, then assaulted two troopers by spitting in their faces.
State police said on Monday, troopers tried to stop the driver of a Chrysler 200 for speeding along Interstate 93 north. The driver failed to stop and instead sped up.
Troopers pursued the driver to the exit 4 off-ramp where the driver appeared to make minor contact with a pickup truck as it maneuvered out of the travel lane and continued onto the main roadway. Police said the driver then turned onto Route 102 into Derry.
Troopers ended their pursuit but the vehicle was found abandoned a short time later after it crashed into a Jeep Grand Cherokee at the intersection of Fordway Extension and Kendall Pond Road.
The driver, a 16-year-old boy, fled on foot into a nearby mobile home park.
While the suspect was being taken into custody, police said he spit in the faces of two troopers.
The suspect was taken to the police department and released to his mother. In Derry, he is facing conduct after an accident and operating after suspension.

He is also facing multiple state charges including felony reckless conduct, disobeying an officer, resisting arrest, simple assault, criminal mischief and operating after suspension.
The teen is scheduled to be arraigned June 14 in Rockingham Superior Court on the state police charges. It's unclear when he will face the local charges or if he is has an attorney.
