Thunderstorms Possible North, Temps Still Above Average for Fall Season

Temperatures are still above average Tuesday, but it won’t be as warm as Sunday or Monday.

In Boston, for example, it hit 92 degrees at Logan Airport. This happens to be the latest 90-degree day since 2007! Temperatures Tuesday will peak in the mid-to-upper 70s for most.

With some cooler air moving in aloft during the afternoon, we may generate a few showers and even thunderstorms in northern New England. One or two downpours may produce some small hail.

Wednesday looks beautiful with seasonable temperatures. Although it will be seasonable, it certainly will feel cool, considering we’ve been so warm.

A few showers are possible Thursday with another cold front moving through. Temperatures warm into the upper 70s and low 80s during the afternoon before the showers return.

Friday looks a touch cooler with sunshine returning. The weekend looks beautiful with a ton of sunshine and temperatures once again will reach the low 80s.
