Prosecutors say a Massachusetts teacher was furious with her husband in the months leading up to her murder.
Vanessa MacCormack was strangled and stabbed on Sept. 23, 2017, for which her husband, Andrew MacCormack, is on trial for murder in Boston. Jurors saw text messages Tuesday that investigators say prove there were obvious problems in the MacCormack's marriage.
State Trooper Anthony Alestock says he found the proof when he responded to the couple’s Revere home back in 2017, where Vanessa MacCormack’s body was found in the bedroom, with her cell phone nearby.
Investigators reviewing her cell phone found text messages they now say show the rift between the couple, arguing Vanessa had discovered Andrew was stealing from her to buy drugs. They say she continually texted him things like:
"I’m done with the (expletive) lies you expect me to believe"
"You’ve managed to drain our accounts and every day you take out cash"
"I feel like I’m at the end of my rope in this marriage"

Two months after those messages were sent, the new mom was found dead.
Prosecutors could rest their case this week. The trial resumes Wednesday morning.
