Toddler in Critical Condition After Being Pulled From Stream in Vermont

The 3-year-old boy wandered away from a day care center

A toddler who wandered away from a day care center is in critical condition after bieng pulled from a stream in Waterbury, Vermont.

Vermont State Police told WPTZ-TV that the 3-year-old boy wandered away from a group activity Thursday at Elephant in the Field day care center in Waterbury. The child was found in sthe stream around 4 p.m.

The child - whose name has not been released - was taken to Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin, and later transferred to University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.

The investigation is ongoing, and it isn't clear yet if charges will be filed.
