Tom Brady Explains Why We ‘Shouldn't Read Into' Home Sale

Tom Brady's house is still on the market. It'll cost you a cool $39.5 million if you're interested in the Brookline property. If you're not, then there's not much reason for you to be worried about the pending sale, Brady told WEEI on Monday morning.

Speaking to WEEI's "The Greg Hill Show," Brady said we shouldn't read much into his house being available.

"I certainly hope not," Brady said. "You shouldn't read into anything. I think it takes a long time to sell a house. My house is a little bit of an expensive one so it doesn't fly off the shelf in a couple weeks.

"I think I'm at a point in my life where there's a lot of considerations that go into playing. I have a very busy professional life. I have a very busy personal life. Any decision that's made has to consider everything. I'm certainly at a place, where I've been in the same place for a long time, and I love playing for the Patriots. I have such a great relationship with Mr. [Robert] Kraft, coach [Bill] Belichick and our team. We'll just worry about that when that happens. This isn't the time to worry about it."

Brady has, of course, acknowledged that there is plenty uncertainty surrounding his new contract beyond this year. He has the ability to become a free agent next spring. As good as his relationship might be with the team, he was asked if he thinks about the possibility of not finishing his career with the Patriots and said, "You control the things you can control."

"Things that are out of your control," he added. "You just have to go with the flow. I think I'm in a great mental, emotional place to approach the season. Again, this isn't the first time around. There is no point in worrying about things like that. There are so many hypotheticals . . . This is where I want to be. This is the team I want to be a part of and leading. I'm really excited about doing that. There's really not much to read into it than that."
