Tow Truck Driver Busted for OUI After Responding to Another OUI Call in Barnstable

Police said Brandon Fenton, a driver for Capeway Towing, had been called in to remove Patricia O'Donnell's vehicle

Massachusetts State Police arrested two people for allegedly driving drunk early Saturday morning on Cape Cod, one of whom was the tow truck driver called to pick up the vehicle of the first suspect.

Police said a trooper first arrested Patricia O'Donnell, 51, of Marston Mills at about 2:20 a.m. on Route 28 in Barnstable. She was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor.

Following the arrest, the trooper requested Capeway Towing to remove O'Donnnell's vehicle from the scene.

Authorities said Brandon Fenton, 25, a driver for Capeway Towing was dispatched and also arrested for operating under the influence of liquor.

Police said the Hyannis resident had been recorded on dashcam video by an area journalist swerving along Willow Street and Yarmouth Road. The journalist also told police Fenton almost hit a pole.

After reviewing the video, Fenton was arrested.

Both Fenton and O'Donnell were released on personal recognizance and scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Barnstable District Court. It's unclear if either of them had attorneys.
