The crash happened south of the border crossing into Quebec, Canada

Maine State Police say a tractor-trailer rolled over on Route 27 in Coburn Gore after crashing into a bridge Thursday morning, spilling paper all over the road and in a stream.

The crash happened south of the border crossing into Quebec, Canada around 6 a.m.

Police said the driver, 47-year-old Scott Theriault of Strong, lost control on a curve and struck the bridge abutment, splitting the trailer in half.

Traffic was stopped and held for about an hour as crews cleaned the scene.

Theriault sustained some injuries and was taken to a hospital to be checked out.
