Tractor Trailer Hauling Garbage Overturns on I-89 in NH

The rollover caused I-89 South Bound to close for several hours, frustrating commuters

A tractor trailer hauling garbage crashed Tuesday morning on Interstate 89 southbound in Warner, New Hampshire, creating a mess and frustrating commuters.

An initial investigation indicated that the driver of the truck was going too fast around a curve, police say. The truck, fully-loaded with trash, tipped over as a result. Another driver on the road attempted to avoid collision, but stopped in the debris.

Neither driver was injured.

Two lanes were shut down for several hours as officials cleaned up the scene and removed the truck.

The crash took place around 5 a.m. in Warner, according to New Hampshire State Police.
