    Restaurant Fire in Boston's Seaport District Causes $350K in Damage

    A fire at a restaurant on Rowes Wharf in Boston's Seaport District Monday afternoon has caused hundreds of thousands of dollars.

    The fire started at about 3:30 p.m. in the ductwork at Pasta Beach, fire officials said. Smoke was reportedly showing on arrival.

    The main body of the fire was knocked down by about 6:30 p.m. and crews were expected to remain on scene to douse hotspots. A second alarm was ordered to rotate companies.

    The first and second floors of the building were evacuated, and heavy smoke on the first floor was vented, fire officials said.

    One firefighter was taken to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

    Fire officials said damages were estimated at about $350,000.
