A triple-decker building with roughly a dozen units inside caught fire early Saturday morning.
Nine units are responding to the flames in Lowell, Massachusetts.
Families are displaced and one person was transported to a nearby hospital for smoke inhalation.
While the fire didn't spread to any of the nearby buildings, it did melt off vinyl siding of neighboring structures.
The tripple-decker is now uninhabitable. The Lowell fire chief says the building will have to come down soon.
