    Truck Slams Into Home in Millbury, Mass.

    Residents were told to avoid an area of Millbury, Massachusetts, on Tuesday after a truck slammed into a house and caused authorities to shut off the gas.

    A truck smashed into the front of a home in Millbury, Massachusetts, on Tuesday, shearing a gas meter line, fire officials said.

    Gas was shut off after its distinctive odor was detected and firefighters responded to the scene on Riverlin Street near Millbury Avenue, the Millbury Fire Department said on Twitter.

    It initially appeared that no one was hurt in the incident, which the fire department first announced after 11 a.m.

    Aerial footage showed the truck caused some damage to the door of the building. A stop sign was knocked over as well.
