Police and firefighters in Ashland, Massachusetts, responded to the scene of a massive truck fire on Monday afternoon.
Shortly before 2 p.m., a truck hit a pole on West Union Street in Ashland and burst into flames, shooting fire and black smoke into the air. The road was temporarily closed as emergency crews dealt with the situation.
Due to the accident and fire, all middle school dismissal was on the MBTA access road. Police said buses and parents would be allowed to enter the access roads and pick up their children by the ballfield.
