Truck Plows Through Brick Wall and Into Home

Very close call for a woman sleeping inside her West Roxbury, Massachusetts, home Saturday morning

A truck hit a home around 8:30 a.m. on Bonad Road Saturday, nearly hitting a woman sleeping inside. A brick wall in front of the home slowed the truck down, which likely saved the woman's life.

The driver was rushed to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Despite the damage, the homeowner is grateful everyone will be alright. "My wife was in her bedroom and getting out of the shower. I thought we got hit by a meteor, the whole house shook," he said. "Fortunately, she was on the other side of the bed because everything that caved in was on the other side of the bed, thank God we are ok."

The homeowner says the driver is a neighbor and he believes he had a medical issue that caused him to slam into the house.

The home incurred a bit of damage, but at this point it's unclear how much. The building inspector is assessing the stability of the home.
