    Students at Tuft University are on high alert after police say a student was indecently assaulted near campus.

    Students at Tuft University are on high alert after police say a student was indecently assaulted near campus.

    The student told Somerville and campus police that a man in his 30s or 40s assaulted her Friday night around 8:40 near Dearborn Road.

    She told police the suspect was wearing a dark-colored puffy jacket and jeans.

    The victim was not injured.

    A search of the area by Somerville and campus police did not turn up a suspect, but the university says campus police will continue with enhanced patrol efforts in the area.

    The university said in an email to students that "Tufts University deplores and condemns such acts..."

    The incident remains under investigation.
