Two dogs were shocked in Winthrop, Massachusetts, on Saturday morning.
According to police, the German Shepherd and Boxer came in contact with a metal panel used to cover electrical wires and components and were shocked.
The incident occurred on Department of Recreation and Conservation property, just across from 33 Shore Drive, at about 10 a.m. Saturday.
The owners called police, and Winthrop Animal Control arrived on scene and checked the dogs.
Both of the dogs were okay and were not transported. They are now home with their owners, police said.
State police were notified and took over the scene.
They are now investigating the cause, police said.
