Two Rounds of Storms, Look Out for Localized Flooding

After a break from the humidity and warm weather, summer makes a return Wednesday. Showers and thunderstorms will return to the forecast as well.

We're expecting two rounds of thunderstorms. Round one arrived late Tuesday and lingered into early Wednesday morning. These thunderstorms will form along a warm front and could cause a brief tornado or waterspout.

If we clear out during the late morning, it’s possible that we will see round two develop during the afternoon. Those storms may produce damaging wind gusts. Any thunderstorms may produce localized flooding.

Once the cold front moves through, we get a one day break from the humidity on Thursday. Humidity levels will increase once again by Friday afternoon. The good news is, if you’re tired of the rain, we should be dry from Thursday through Sunday.

It appears that we will break the stretch of unsettled weekends. Temperatures will be warm in the 80s, and it will be quite muggy.

A shower or thunderstorm will be possible early the following week as temperatures stay in the 80s. At this point, there is no end to summer in sight!
