U.S. Coast Guard Rescues Sick Woman Off Mass. Coast

Woman was reported to be in stable condition after arriving back to shore

A sick woman needed to be medevaced by the United States Coast Guard on Monday from a sailboat near Cuttyhunk Island, Massachusetts.

Coast Guard officials said the woman's husband reported that his wife was suffering from abdominal pains and needed assistance at about 7 p.m.

About 20 minutes later, a boat crew from Woods Hole arrived to the couple's sailboat and transferred the woman on board and took her back to shore.

The woman was reported to be in stable condition when she was transferred to an area hospital.
