Uber Driver Held Without Bail in Sexual Assault

An Uber driver accused of sexually assaulting a woman has been ordered held without bail.

An Uber driver accused of sexually assaulting a woman has been ordered held without bail.

Alejandro Done, 46, of Boston, waived his right to a dangerousness hearing in Cambridge District Court on Wednesday.

Police say Done picked up the victim from a Boston residence on Dec. 6, presenting himself as a driver for the ride sharing service.

Instead, Done, who remains in custody, allegedly drove the victim to a secluded location where he beat and sexually assaulted her. He has pleaded not guilty to charges of rape, assault to rape, kidnapping, and assault and battery.

The Middlesex County District Attorney's Office says it's unclear if Done used information as an Uber driver to target the victim. Company records helped police to identify Done.
