United Airlines Ends Flights From New Hampshire to Newark

United Airlines says it is ending flights from Manchester-Boston Regional Airport to Newark, New Jersey.

The airline announced Monday it will instead offer two 70-seat flights and one 50-seat flight to Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C. starting in March 2019.

The airline currently offers three 50-seat flights from Manchester to Newark.

A spokesperson for United says shifting the flights will allow the airline to strengthen its East Coast hubs.

Travelers who normally rely on the flight to get to the New York area will have Delta's daily flight to LaGuardia Airport as an option.

Bedford resident Sheila Smith who takes the flight to Newark to visit her son says the change is "not quite as convenient, but we'll make it work."
