The driver of a van was killed in a crash involving a dump truck Thursday in Springfield, Massachusetts. The truck's driver was also injured.
The crash took place around 11:10 a.m. on Hancock Street, according to Ryan Walsh of the Springfield Police Department.
Paramedics responding to the crash performed CPR on the van driver, who was transported to Baystate Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The dump truck's driver was also taken to Baystate Medical Center. The nature and extent of that person's injuries were not immediately known.
Police did not publicly identify any of the people involved.
