The life of slain jogger Vanessa Marcotte will be remembered and celebrated this week in Massachusetts.
The funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, August 16 at 10 a.m. at Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoonsnoc Rd., Fitchburg, with a Mass celebrated in Our Lady of the Lake Church at 1400 Main St., Leominster.
Burial will follow in Woodside Cemetary located at Narrows Rd. in Westminster.
Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Monday, August 15 from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Vanessa's memory to Harlem Grown, 118 W. 134th St., New York, NY 10030, or Tutoring Plus of Cambridge, Inc., 225 Windsor St., Cambridge, MA 02139, or to the Matt Light Foundation for Crohn's Disease.
