Four teens have been arrested after they allegedly crashed an Audi in Revere that had been carjacked the night before in Burlington, Massachusetts.
Shortly before 7:30 p.m. on Monday, police in Burlington, Massachusetts responded to reports of a carjacking at a Beacon Street apartment. The victim told authorities he had just parked at his apartment’s lot and was checking his email on his phone when a man opened his side door.
The victim was held at gunpoint when a suspect demanded the keys to the vehicle, police said. The victim said three suspects, all in their late teens or early 20s, took his keys, wallet and phone before they fled the area in his car.
The suspects left in the victim’s 2018 back Audi A4 with a license plate that read 8GW848.
Police confirmed that same vehicle was involved in a crash at about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday on Lee Burbank Highway. It is unclear if the suspects are the same people involved in the crash, but four minors were arrested.
Authorities said two BB guns were recovered following the crash.
